Machining Processes
Seven operations cover the whole journey of a precision part. Hover a card for the capability summary, click through for tolerances, materials and example parts.
CNC Milling
3- and 4-axis milling of housings, brackets and plates, from one prototype to weekly volume.
5-Axis CNC Machining
Complex geometries, impellers and thin-wall parts finished in a single clamping on Mazak centers.
Turn-Mill Machining (9-Axis)
Milling and turning in one cycle on Mazak INTEGREX centers, so concentricity comes from the machine.
CNC Turning
Shafts, pins, bushings and device housings with a dedicated path from sample to repeat orders.
Surface Grinding
Flatness-critical faces ground after heat treatment, where milling alone cannot hold the datum.
Wire EDM
Internal profiles, sharp corners and burr-free edges in hardened stock, cut without cutting force.
Surface Treatment
Anodizing, passivation, plating and laser marking coordinated under one quality system.
Supporting services: rapid prototyping (expedited sampling) and sheet metal fabrication, in the same factory and quality system.
Finishing runs under the same quality system: anodizing (Type II / III), passivation, plating, black oxide, powder coating, polishing and laser marking, with film thickness and single-side dimensional change planned into pre-coat sizes. Data tables: surface treatment center.
Equipment Behind the Processes
Every process runs on a Mazak-led fleet inventoried in August 2026. Each group page shows what we make on it, not just what it is.
Five-Axis Machining Centers
Five simultaneous axes let us finish complex parts in one clamping, so datum stacking and re-fixture error never enter your part. This is where thin-wall work, impellers and multi-face housings hold ±0.005 mm across every feature.
Turn-Mill Centers
Milling and turning run in one cycle on the same datum, so concentricity and coaxiality come from the machine, not from re-fixturing. Robot joint parts from these centers hold coaxiality within 0.01 mm.
CNC Turning Centers
Twenty turning centers, including mill-turn, give you a dedicated path from one prototype to repeat orders. Tooling and programs stay on file, so batch ten in June matches batch one thousand in December.
3+2 / 4-Axis & Gantry Machining Centers
Vertical, horizontal and gantry machining centers cover the workhorse side of your bill of materials. This is where prototypes turn into weekly production without a price step-change.
Support & Secondary Processes
Wire EDM, sinker EDM, surface grinding and laser marking close the gaps milling cannot reach: hardened stock, internal radii, burr-free edges and traceability marks, all inside one factory.
Inspection & Metrology
Hexagon and Zeiss CMMs check your drawing, not our opinion. Measurement data ships with the parts, so your quality team can release them without a second incoming inspection.

Inspection Capability
Your drawing is checked by instruments, not opinions. Measurement data ships with the parts so your quality team can release them without re-inspection.
CMM Verification
Hexagon GLOBALS and Zeiss CAPTUM bridge CMMs at 0.0015 mm accuracy verify your GD&T callouts.
First Article and In-Process Inspection
FAI on every new part, in-process checks on every batch, and measurement data shipped with the parts.
Material and Compliance Documentation
Mill certificates, RoHS and REACH statements and certification copies travel with your order.
How a Drawing Becomes a KGL Part
Send your 2D/3D files. Engineering reviews material, tolerance and envelope within hours and returns a quote within 24 hours. The process route (milling, turning, grinding, EDM) is selected by your drawing, not by which machine is free. First article inspection reports with every new part, and batch orders keep the same route, tooling and programs on file.
Capabilities FAQ
What tolerances can you hold, and how are they verified?
Shop standard is +/-0.005 mm (ISO 2768). Critical features on 5-axis parts hold +/-0.002 mm, verified on Hexagon or Zeiss CMMs at 0.0015 mm accuracy; ground and lapped faces reach +/-0.001 mm with Ra 0.2.
What is the largest part you can machine?
Milled parts up to 1000 x 800 x 700 mm on our largest horizontal center, turned parts up to 400 mm diameter and 800 mm length. Larger envelopes are reviewed case by case.
Which materials and finishes are covered?
Full aluminum, stainless, titanium, brass, carbon steel and engineering plastic coverage, plus anodizing, passivation, plating, black oxide, powder coating and polishing under the same quality system.
What inspection data do I receive?
A full dimensional report with every order, FAI per AS9102 on new parts on request, material certificates, CoC, and optional SPC data.
How fast is a quote and a prototype?
Quotes with engineering feedback within 24 hours; functional prototypes in 7 to 15 days, complex 5-axis and turn-mill work in 7 to 10 days.
