Aerospace Machining

KGL is AS9100D audited by Bureau Veritas (cert CN059081, valid 2026-2029). We machine structural and flight-critical components from aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.

Typical Aerospace Parts

  • Structural brackets and fittings
  • Mounting plates for avionics
  • Turbine and impeller components (5-axis)
  • Hydraulic fittings and manifolds

Quality System

AS9100D quality management includes configuration management, risk-based planning, and special process control. Full documentation packages available.

Typical parts: 10 part families with tolerances and typical order sizes.

Process Coverage for Aerospace Programs

Aerospace work runs under our EN 9100:2018 (AS9100D equivalent) scope, audited by Bureau Veritas: risk-based routing, configuration control of programs and tooling, and 100 percent first-article layout before volume release. Five-axis Mazak centers cut impellers, bladed rotors, and structural parts from solid billet; turn-mill cells cover shafts and fittings; PEI and other aerospace polymers are machined on the polymer line with 24-hour aging between roughing and finishing.

Questions buyers ask before the first order

Is KGL AS9100D certified?

Yes, AS9100D audited by Bureau Veritas, certificate CN059081, valid 2026 to 2029.

Do you provide first article inspection per AS9102?

Yes. FAI per AS9102 with full dimensional results is available on every critical part, with configuration-controlled documentation.

Which aerospace materials do you work with?

Aluminum, titanium and stainless steel for structural parts, plus PEI stock direct from Röchling in Germany for aircraft system components.

Can you machine polymer parts for aircraft systems?

Yes. We machine PEI wastewater treatment parts for a top-tier European aerospace and defense group, holding ±0.02 mm where printed parts held ±0.1 mm, with surface finish below Ra 0.8.

What does the documentation package include?

Material certificates, CMM reports, FAI per AS9102 where required, and traceability through the AS9100D chain.

What are typical lead times for aerospace parts?

Prototypes in 7 to 15 days; production batches are quoted per drawing with configuration and documentation requirements included.
