CNC Machining for Automotive and NEV
Prototype and low-volume machining for tier-1 development programs: charging and connectivity hardware, sensor and ADAS mounts, thermal plates and test fixtures, with documentation packages your quality team can file.
Where We Fit in Automotive Programs
- NEV charging: connector housings, pin carriers and cooling plates in 6061-T6
- ADAS and sensors: bracket families and mounts holding +/-0.02 mm on datum features
- Thermal management: machined cold plates and spreader plates in aluminum and C11000
- Bench and end-of-line test fixtures: MIC-6 baseplates with 0.02 mm flatness over 300 mm
Typical Tolerances and Finishes
| Feature class | We hold |
|---|---|
| General machined features | +/-0.05 mm |
| Sealing and mating faces | +/-0.01 mm, flatness 0.02 mm |
| Datum-critical bores and pins | +/-0.01 mm, +/-0.002 mm achievable |
| Finishes | Type II/III anodize, alodine, passivation, Ni plating |
Typical parts: 10 part families with tolerances and typical order sizes.
Automotive Machining FAQ
Do you support automotive development programs, or series production?
We are strongest in development and pre-series: prototype batches of 10 to 100 parts in 5 to 10 working days, then repeat batches as the design stabilizes. For high-volume series we tell you honestly that machining is the wrong process and help you design for casting or molding instead.
Can you provide dimension reports and material certificates for PPAP-style reviews?
Yes. Dimensional reports on drawing characteristics, material certificates per lot, and FAI layouts on request. RoHS and REACH declarations are available.
Which grades do automotive customers usually ask for?
6061-T6 and 6082-T6 for housings and brackets, MIC-6 for test fixture baseplates, 316L for sensor fittings, and C36000 for connector inserts.
