About This Part

Sanitary equipment judges plates by two things: can it be wiped clean, and does anything trap product. This 304 stainless base support answers both with a No. 4 sanitary brush finish on both faces at 32 CLA, R0.205 corner radii, and 0.06 by 45 degree chamfers breaking every edge, no sharp corners anywhere.

The long plate carries elongated slots for adjustable mounting and clean weld or clamp interfaces. Geometry holds plus or minus 0.02 mm on controlled dimensions and plus or minus 0.035 mm on the general profile, which is comfortable for sanitary assemblies and honest about what a brushed plate needs.

Process is plate blanking, CNC milling of the outline and slots, hole work, bench chamfering and deburring, then dual side sanitary polishing and a dimension plus appearance check before release. Drawings referenced are 43147 00 and Y03 136491 10/13.

Common Questions

Why a brush finish instead of polished mirror?

No. 4 at 32 CLA is the sanitary standard: fine enough to clean, rough enough to hide handling marks in service. Mirror on a large plate shows every fingerprint and scratch.

Why break every edge?

Unbroken edges trap soil and pass contamination. On sanitary equipment the chamfer is a cleanability feature, not decoration.
