Capacity Upgrade: Four New FANUC 3+2 CNC Machines
KGL adds four imported FANUC 3+2 CNC machines, cutting setup count by over 30% and raising single-piece efficiency by up to 40%.

KGL has added four imported FANUC 3+2 CNC machines to its Shenzhen facility. The upgrade is aimed at reducing setups, tightening geometric accuracy, and cutting lead times on complex parts.
What 3+2 Means for Complex Parts
A 3+2 machine tilts the workpiece or spindle into position, locks the two rotary axes, and then machines with three linear axes. It can also run full five-axis simultaneous paths when the geometry demands it. The result is that parts with angled holes, curved vanes, or multi-sided features no longer need to be unclamped and reclamped several times.
Expected Impact
- Fewer setups. Complex curved and angled features can be reached without repositioning, reducing setup count by more than 30 percent compared with conventional 3-axis workflows.
- Faster cycles. Optimized tool paths and high-speed cutting raise single-piece efficiency by up to 40 percent on suitable jobs.
- Shorter delivery windows. With setup time removed and spindle time better used, KGL can offer 72-hour production scheduling and 5-day urgent delivery for qualified parts.
Training and Traceability
The machines are paired with a training program led by FANUC engineers and internal digital machining simulation. KGL is also connecting the new machines to its production management system, so equipment status and order progress can be tracked in real time.
Quote from Production
The new machines are not only about capacity. They let us hold tighter tolerances on fewer setups, which is exactly what aerospace, semiconductor, and robotics customers need.
