Frequently Asked Questions

Why turn-mill instead of turning plus a milling op?

Every re-chuck adds error between features. On parts where a milled feature must sit true to a turned journal, one setup is the only way to hold +/-0.01 mm feature-to-feature without expensive inspection sorting.

Is turn-mill more expensive per part?

Unit price can be similar or lower once second-op handling, re-fixturing and inspection sorting are counted. We quote both routes when the difference is close and let the numbers decide.

Do you document feature-to-feature accuracy?

Yes, the CMM report groups features by datum so your quality team can see the single-setup relationships explicitly.
