About This Part
A base plate sets the geometry of everything bolted to it. This triangular base is milled from aluminum billet in a small number of setups, keeping the three corner interfaces, the locating bores, and the mounting faces referenced to one another so the assembly lands square without shimming.
Tapped interfaces sit on the top, sides, and ends of the triangle, letting one part carry actuators, sensors, and covers at once. Critical bores and faces are finished to the drawing callouts and verified on CMM; unmachined faces stay as milled for a clean technical finish.
The photographed parts are from a delivered lot. Full material certification, heat treatment condition, and the complete tolerance stack come from the customer drawing, which governs. Send yours for a quotation with DFM feedback inside 24 hours.

Why Machine It at KGL
Five-Axis Fleet
100+ CNC machines including 11 five-axis centers run complex geometry in single setups, so tolerances do not stack up across refixturing.
Verified Accuracy
±0.005 mm standard on metals, plastics, and carbon fiber composite, verified on Hexagon and Zeiss CMMs (0.0015 mm accuracy).
Fast Prototypes
Engineering feedback with every quotation; prototype parts typically machined in 15 to 25 days.
One Supplier, End to End
Material sourcing, machining, heat treatment coordination, finishing, CMM inspection and export packaging under one roof.
Part-Specific Advantages
- Triangular billet milled base with interfaces on top, side, and end faces
- Precision locating bores referenced to one datum system across setups
- As machined aluminum finish, edges deburred and broken
- Drawing governed tolerances, CMM verified on critical features
- Suitable for 6061 or 7075 per the drawing
- One piece flow from billet to cleaned, inspected, packed part
Typical Applications
- Mounting base for robot joint and actuator assemblies
- Fixture and sensor mounting plates on automation equipment
- Structural anchor plates for compact mechanism modules

Common Questions
I have photos of a similar base but no drawing. Can you quote?
Yes. Send the sample dimensions or a sketch with the features that matter, and we will quote a machining route, then confirm every tolerance on a formal drawing before production.
Which aluminum grade do you recommend?
6061-T6 for general bases; 7075-T6 where the corners see bending load. Tell us the load case and we will advise in the DFM notes.
Can the base be anodized or blackened?
Yes, clear or black anodize and bead blast finishes are available; we will include them in the quote as line items.
