ISO 9001:2015 is the baseline quality management standard for manufacturing. At KGL it connects customer requirements, process control, inspection records, and management review into one closed loop. We were first certified in October 2024 and the system has run through two full audit cycles since.

What the Standard Requires
The standard asks an organization to define its processes, control the documents that drive them, verify outputs against requirements, and correct deviations in a repeatable way. It expects internal audits, management review, and corrective action records that survive personnel changes.
It does not promise defect-free parts. It promises that when a deviation happens, the system catches it, records it, and closes it with a verified fix.
How It Runs at KGL
Controlled documents. Drawings, process sheets, and inspection standards are version-controlled. When a customer sends a rev-C drawing, the shop floor sees only the current version.
FAI before batch. New parts get a first-article inspection that compares every dimension and geometric tolerance against the drawing before batch machining starts.
Quarterly internal audits. Each cycle checks one process area, and the findings feed an action register reviewed at the monthly management meeting together with nonconformance rates, complaints, on-time delivery, and equipment calibration status.
