KGL Achieves EN 9100 Aerospace Certification (AS9100D Equivalent)
Bureau Veritas has certified KGL to EN 9100:2018, equivalent to AS9100D, covering aerospace quality management from contract review to delivery.

KGL Machinery & Electronics has been certified to EN 9100:2018, the European equivalent of AS9100D, by Bureau Veritas (certificate CN059081, valid 2 June 2026 to 5 February 2029). The audit covered the full aerospace quality management scope: contract review, design and process planning, production control, inspection, and traceability.
What the Certification Covers
- Risk-based process control. Every aerospace job runs a defined routing with identified risk points and reaction plans.
- Full traceability. Material certificates link each part to its mill heat number; process changes require documented approval.
- Configuration management. Program revisions, tooling, and inspection plans are version-controlled per part number.
- First-article discipline. New and changed parts start with a 100 percent first-article layout before volume release.
What It Means for Aerospace Buyers
For sourcing teams, EN 9100 registration means supplier audits can rely on a globally recognized baseline instead of starting from zero. It also aligns KGL with the quality language used across European aerospace supply chains, alongside our existing ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 registrations.
Running on the Shop Floor
The certification formalizes practices the shop already ran: Hexagon and Zeiss CMM verification, staged stress relief on thin-wall work, and MES-linked batch tracking. Read how the system handles real parts in our inspection workflow guide, or view the certificate on the AS9100D certification page.
